During the event, we will hear three professional perspectives on raising multilingual children (or monolingual children in a multilingual environment) and get practical tips for early language acquisition within family and advice on learning perspectives. We will also discuss how to support of your children in the complex language situations and the local perspectives of Luxembourg.
At the end of the seminar, there will be some time for questions and answers.

Introduction to the speakers of the evening:
Annika Bourgogne holds a Master of Arts degree in French and English from the University of Helsinki. Mother of two bilingual children, she is passionate about family multilingualism and constantly looking for new ways to combine real-life parenting with the latest research on the subject. Her book Be Bilingual – Practical ideas for multilingual families is full of practical, creative and fun ideas to help families make multilingualism work in their busy lives. She works as a language teacher in Strasbourg, France. www.be-bilingual.net
Stacie Allard is an international educator who has 30 years of experience teaching English as an additional language and working with multilingual children with learning disabilities. Stacie founded her company AccessLearning in 2015 and in her private practice she supports families with children who struggle in school to find solutions for increased school success. Stacie has an MA in Applied Linguistics and two Postgraduate Certificates (Specific Learning Difficulties and Dyspraxia/DCD), and is a registered qualified test user with the British Psychological Society. www.accesslearning.lu
Ranka Šarenac graduated in Psychology at the University of Belgrade in 1997 and soon after received a Master of Science degree in Social Psychology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In January 2015 Ranka established a foundation, the Centre for Mutual Education “SeeMe” in order to support parents and professional educators to behave with children the way they want them to behave towards others: with understanding, respect and compassion.
